The Facts

Over two billion people live in countries where water supply is inadequate, and four billion people experience severe water scarcity for at least one month every year. By 2025, McKinsey projects that 1 in 2 of us will live in a water stressed area.

Today’s water systems struggle to meet increased demand efficiently because they rely on polyamide reverse osmosis membranes. This 40-year old technology can't stand up to chlorine that would keep membranes operating at peak efficiency.  This means that cleaning is time consuming and leads to irreversible damage that limits the useful membrane lifetime. Systems using polyamide membranes face increased cost, additional and unnecessary complexity, and contribute to negative impacts on our climate.

Low level of chlorine eliminates biofouling and keeps pressure low without risk to NALA membranes

CLEAN MEMBRANES
LAST LONGER

NALA MEMBRANES, not made
from polyamides, can use chlorine to eliminate biofouling and run longer with less energy and less cleaning maintenance.
